The Sleepy Hollow Motor Inn is a classic American motel that provides affordable accommodations at the entrance to historic Woods Hole Village.
Innkeeper/owner Sandee Parmelee first worked in the hospitality industry more than 30 years ago and spent nine years working at first class B&Bs before acquiring the Sleepy Hollow in 2001. These experiences are reflected in the effort that goes into providing clean, well-maintained rooms. Here's what our guests had to say about us in 2014:
"Wonderful experience” This sweet motel is two blocks from Woods Hole, so walking is a pleasure. The motel rooms are immaculate, and the beds are very comfortable. Management is friendly and accommodating. We had a lovely night's experience here and highly recommend this wonderful, family-owned motel."
"Cute place to stay near the ferry port” We stayed here the night before going over to Martha's Vineyard for the day and couldn't really ask for more. After buying the ferry tickets at reception, it was an easy 10 minute stroll straight on to the boat. The room itself was large and clean, there was a pool which looked pretty good but we didn't have the time to try it ourselves and the lady on reception (didn't catch her name!) was chatty, friendly and welcoming. They were even kind enough to let us leave the car with them for the day after we had checked out. Would certainly recommend."
"Affordable rooms, walkable to everything” Classic motel from the 60's. Great location for walking to ferry, Nobska beach, Woods Hole. Great customer service, mailed me my extra key set that I left behind. Will stay again. Proximity to everything you could want is paramount and you can walk to everything, that's a big deal in WH where parking is almost non-existent during the work day."
"Cute and clean” Nice family owned motel right in Woods Hole. The rooms are equipped w/ fridge, cable, etc, and are squeaky clean. The motel is certainly not new but the owners do a great job keeping it clean. It is only 1/3 of a mile to the MV Ferry and the various attractions of Woods Hole. The village of Woods Hole is small w/ a limit on things to do (Lots of restaurants, though), but is absolutely beautiful."
The ferry to Martha's Vineyard and the attractions in Woods Hole are only a short walk. The Shining Sea Bikeway, a large playground, and sandy beaches on both Vineyard Sound and Buzzards Bay are well within a mile. We're only four miles from shopping and restaurants in the heart of downtown Falmouth and we’re a convenient starting point for trips to other destinations on Cape Cod. Whether vacationing with your family or on a business trip, the Sleepy Hollow can be a great choice.
